You may want to consider starting a new vial, Jay.
It does seem that could be the culprit. Usually when numbers start getting high for no explained reason and a cartridge is old, thats the first thing you want to do...
Just to warn you, that sometimes the first dose or two out of a new cartridge "can" give a little extra umphf! so you want to watch for that. The other possibility is that since his numbers have been high for a while, his shed may be depleted of the 'good' stuff and you need to rebuild a little.

I havent as of yet. This is still the first vial. We popped the top of this one on March 5th (I think that was the date we started)

Lantus is supposed to be discarded 28 days after opening. Most people go longer than that although I never did. But seriously Jay, 3 months on one vial is a bit too long IMO, and as Carolyn said, a huge possibility as to why you're seeing increases in Frankie's numbers now.

When something isn't 'right' there is usually a reason for it...the insulin is one of them that is listed in the 'stickies' .. :razz: :razz:
