While looking for dried treats, found this site and thought I would share. They are mostly geared to dogs, but a couple products sound great for cats! I think they only ship to the states, but still thought it was worth a mention. Has anyone tried these?

The dried chicken breast “mini” pieces are geared to small dogs and cats for treats. They even put a little extra in bag over the weight posted to account for the dust that tends to end up at the bottom of the bag. I don’t consider that dust waste, just goes on as a food topper for my cat, but nice that they do that in my opinion.

The shaker jars of “toppers” have dried chicken or beef liver and are the tiny pieces too small for treats but perfect for sprinkling on fussy kitties’ food.

There is also a nice story behind this small business. A teenage girl with Down syndrome started it and now it has become a family business. All meat comes from the local butcher. The family packs, labels and ships everything themselves.

There is shipping cost, but even with shipping, per ounce the price is comparable to other brands and less in some cases.

Julie - Thanks so much for sharing this! I've never tried this brand, but my cats (especially my OTJ sugar baby) LOVES his freeze dried duck livers and shrimp. I think he'd eat a bowl of dog poop if I used that duck liver as a topper! These prices are really good, and I love the story behind the company itself. It's heart warming, and I would love to support this. As far as the products being sold for dogs... I know that the dried minnows I give to Jack are made for dogs. It's generally cheaper. I saw that they have a FB page, and that Gracie likes to have people post pics (or email one to her) of their dog who likes the treats. She calls them her G-Dogs. I would like to post a picture of my cats eating her treats, and let her know that she has G-Cats too!
A friend of mine recently switched his 6 cats from all dry food to canned food (per my story of Jack developing diabetes from dry). Five of his critters took to the canned pretty much right away, but Ann is still refusing it after 3 weeks. I was talking to him this morning about using toppers to get her started. He should try the flavor enhancers. I think it's awesome that they use all of the too-small-to-package pieces for those toppers. And I agree with you - my smashed treats never go to waste! I top their food with those crumbles.

Also new orders use “newgdog” for 10% off. Shipping was $5, I bought 2 bags of the mini chicken and with shipping and discount came to $22.99. This is for 9+ oz. dried treats which is still a decent price. 10 oz. whole life chicken are over $30.

I'm going to order those toppers. The price is extremely reasonable.

and of course the bonito flakes (or their Japanese language equivalent) at store catering to Oriental customers or those who like to cook that way

flakes are used by humans to make soup base ... so bigger bags cheaper than those sold for pets

I forgot about getting the bonito flakes from an Oriental grocery store. One bag lasts a long time.
