I'm looking into different low carb food for my kitty so he doesn't get tired of the same old friskies. The goal is to have a small variety of wet food to offer him that is cost friendly.

Does anyone here feed their cat Froza10 Diabetic Active wet cat food?

Is it a good low carb option? I'm aware that some foods can be advertised as approved for diabetic cats, but are actually high in carbs.

Does your kitty like it?

Thank you in advance for any feedback!

This is what the Forum and expert recommend for a diabetic cat, always feed low carb foods between 0-8% Carbs, also This forum and experts recommend Fancy Feast Pate, no gravy food, they are very high in carbs, they are USA manufacturer, which means regulations in what goes in the food for our kitties, I am not an expert by all means, but I have learned a lot, so much on what to feed my Corky, and I am still learning, every day even that I take the food chart on my phone to refer to it when shopping, when I see a new flavor I buy it, giving them variety, and still I make mistakes or Corky system take in the lowest % of Carbs. The Fancy Feast collection I noticed the other day it has kitten formula, just make sure there is no gravy, I add water to the Pates as well below is the Dr's Food Chart link
Look for the Fancy Feast foods the 3rd column is the one that will show the carbs for each flavor

Hi, I am not by far an expert in this Forum as other members, but I can give you some input about food, I have learned that it is important to feed our diabetic cats only low carb foods, this is why this forum recommends Fancy Feast Pates, 0 % - 8% carbs, no gravies, they have a very large variety of flavors even for adult and kittens, they also have the Medley Florentines, they are wonderful, but only to keep in your emergency kit since they are high carbs. just yesterday I learned that different cats react differently even to even the % of low carbs, as for my Corky yesterday I tried a new flavor both my cats love chunky foods since they grew up on MeauMix dry food, which caused my Corky to be diagnosed last June, he is 10 1/2 inside male cat, all ingredients, for diabetes. the Fancy Foods look and smell good enough to eat, I put a bit of water in their food to make sure they are hydrated I had construction in my house 5 months ago and had to move their bottle bowl, since, they have not touched it, so I make sure they have the necessary water needed, below there's the link to Dr's food chart,
look for the Fancy Feast and the third column will have the % of Carbs in each food, I would stick to the ones between 0% & 8% Carbs no gravies very high in Carbs. like I said first, I am not an expert even at this, but I have learned a lot and more to learn as I get to find out what's best for my Corky, This Forum experts tells us that the main thing for a diabetic cat is glucose testing, the food they eat, and lots of love, your Mazi is beautiful :bighug::cat::cat:https://catinfo.org/docs/CatFoodProteinFatCarbPhosphorusChart.pdf

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately Froza10 is not on that list. I think it may have been brought out after that list was created.

Right now Mazi is on Friskies wet which are 3 to 6% carbs. Im looking to branch out to other brands that are cost friendly but still under 6% or less carbs.

Mazi eats about 4.5 to 4.75 ounces of wet food per meal. I was looking for food that came in 5.5 oz cans. Or 3 oz cans that are cost friendly. Unfortunately, Fancy feast is a little out of my budget at the moment because he would need to eat a little more than 1.5 cans per meal.

Froza 10 comes in 3 oz cans but they are more cost friendly so I am able to give him 1.5 cans per meal without breaking my budget.

The Fancy Feast comes in 3oz cans, I feed my cats 4 meals a day at AMPS a full can in between 1/2 can PMPS 1 full can, they are quite satisfied, and they get full, I myself are in a small budget as well, the cans at Walmart.com they are $1.07 each, I do not know if that is too much, I can tell you that this food is satisfying to them especially the Fish & shrimp flake food, it has big chunks of fish and shrimp and is 0 % carbs
they taught me that is best to feed this way to keep the glucose in check and he doesn't go more than 6 hours without food, I even buy the bag of small cut ham at Walmart for $3.79 it lasts me all month and give that as a snack it only has 2% carbs
I am sure someone will try to find you the information on the food you are giving your baby, and give you a better input :bighug::cat::cat: Corky & Coco

We don't recommend one brand of cat food over another. Many people opt for Fancy Feast or Friskies because of the cost. There are a huge number of choices on Dr. Lisa's food chart (the link in post #3). Members may recommend a food they have had success with but every cat is different and what works for one cat may not be a great option for another cat.

There are cat food carbohydrate calculators on the web. As long as a food is below 10% carbohydrate, it's a good option. It looks like the Forza is less than 1% carb. There is a big however here, though. All of the values on the Dr. Lisa's chart are based on "as fed" nutritional content. She contacted all of the pet food companies to get the as fed values and then ran the calculations herself. Pet food manufacturers are not required to provide consumers with the "as fed" values. Instead, what they typically list are the guaranteed analysis values. As a result, since these are either minimums or maximums, you can only get an approximation of the carbohydrate content.

To the best of my knowledge, no one has mentioned Forza. Someone may stop by and correct my impression! If Mazi likes it and it's low carb, you have found another option.
