Being a diabetus kitty, Rukia is obsessed with food - to the point where when it's meal times, she was basically inhaling her food and causing all kinds of issues. It's not good for cats to eat so fast anyways. It can cause them to throw up shortly after, or in Ruki's case, giving her lots of gas! I had never heard a cat let one loose until this.
Anyways, I searched for ways to help slow her eating and tried a few different slow eating bowls. Some of them had hard ridges coming out of them, which often hurt Ruki when she tried to shove her face in there to eat. Others were clearly just meant for dry food only - which was also a no go. I finally found one bowl that works really well.

With this one, there are no hard places coming out. However, the dome in the center makes it so that she can't just gulp her food down in 2 minutes. It's actually slowed her down considerable and now it takes her about 15ish minutes to eat. AND - no more farts. Win/win I'd say.
Of any of you are having the same issue I'd recommend this one. It's been the best of any that I've tried.
