Foods containing peas/pea protein

Was wondering if Fresh Pet or other foods containing peas is OK to use. I know it is a carb, but I've read some articles that suggest that it may actually be helpful regarding blood sugar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Do you have links to those 'articles'? I suppose they are not found in PubMed and VetMed Scientific Journals.

You can measure the bg yourself before that food and while, so you see for yourself and validate it yourself.

100 % pure Pea protein products for vegetarians are something different..
In the cat foods there is whole peas in sometimes. So difficult to know which it is exactly you mean?
 
Cats simply do not need peas in their diet. I don't think they can digest any plant based protein.

However, eating is the most important part. Sabrina hates pate so I have to give her canned food with gravy which usually contains grounded peas/chicken peas. Not ideal but as long as the carb is below 10% I think it's safe to offer.

Basically, I wanted to know if food with peas is OK, I thought I was pretty clear on that. Sorry

Simple Summary
Because dogs are omnivores and cats are obligate carnivores, it is of value to pet owners and nutritionists to know how well they digest protein from plants and animals. This study evaluated the difference in digestibility using plant and animal protein sources, which are used in the pet food industry. These plant and animal sources resulted in protein digestibility that met or exceeded that expected for dogs and cats. As previously shown, cats had superior protein digestibility as compared to dogs. Regarding the difference in digestibility between the proteins from plants or animals—as a class, there was no difference between plant and animal protein in dogs. However, in cats, the protein from plants was more highly digested than animal protein.
