Is it ok to feed our cat fancy feast? Henley is very thin and her appetite isn't what it used to be since diagnosed with diabetes. She won't eat the food the vet gave us (Hill's w/d diet). The vet keeps pushing their food and it makes me wonder if they just want the money since it's marked up so much. She will eat fancy feast which we have always feed her in the past. We have bought the fancy feast with the lowest carbs 5-9%. We are very stressed because she really needs to gain weight.

Many members feed their cats Fancy Feast pates. If your kitty is older, the phosphorus content is a little high in FF, but if it what she will eat, that is what you should feed her, it is a diabetic friendly food.

mine wouldn't eat that stuff either. she does get ff chicken classic just before insulin shot. but after much research and lots of questions all 6 of mine are on Young Again zero carb cat food. check out their site young again pet food. they are also good answering questions and sending information to read. she goes in next week for her first blood sugar curve. and on this diet will get off insulin at some point
