Happy Sunday Funday, everyone!!

I was wondering if anyone could chime in on food choices for civvies. I've been feeding FF kitten food to my monsters (and sometimes regular 'feast' flavors), and they are eating me out of house and home! I'm hoping to find something on the healthy side, but in larger cans. Right now, between the two of them, they're eating 8 cans of FF per day.

Cost aside, I really wanted to know more about carb intake for civvies. With Harley, I always shot for the absolute lowest carbs...she never got anything above 5%. What's a reasonable carb level for civvies? Do we stick to the same 'under 10%' rule, or can it be a bit higher? I'm asking because I'm also trying to find foods that are lower in fat content and the low carb foods are notoriously high in fat. Just trying to do right by my little ones, so I can hopefully avoid going down the FD route again; trying to start them off healthy and keep them that way!

I hope everyone is well. I can't wait to hear all of your fabulous ideas!

Oh, here's a couple of more recent pictures of my monsters. They're 4 months old this week. Cheers!!

Friskies has a lot of low carb food in the big cans. It would be easiest if you can feed the low carb to everyone. Then you don't have to worry about someone eating someone else's food.

I have 8 cats and I feed mine canned Friskies. The best price I have found is at Walmart. I get the cans at $.70 for a large can and feed 4 of them per can.

I have 10 cats here and they all eat the same as Max just plain old Friskies Pate flavors. While they have the larger cans on several low carb flavors I have one guy here that can't have anything with fish in it, so I use the regular 5.5 cans and with 10 we go through about 16 cans a day. But everyone from the 9 month old kittens to 12 year old Max are doing wonderful on it, and I don't have to worry about what Max may or may not get into if he finishes someone else's left overs.

Oh, my!! I just noticed that I never responded to any of you. Sorry for disappearing!! Thank you SO much for your ideas. I'm still feeding FF...8 cans a day for my 2 monsters,,,I mean, angels!! I think I'm worried about switching and rocking the tummy boat, ya know? It would be so much easier and better for the planet if they would just sell FF in larger cans! Happy Thursday, everyone!!
