Orion loves his dry food, and I really don't want to completely deprive him of it. I realise canned is better which is why 3/4 of what he gets is canned. I went to the pet store intending to get Wellness Core Dry but the store was out. I opted for Nature's Variety Instinct chicken variety which is 12.5% carb (I called the company for this). Our vet mentioned some cats have developed urinary issues on Nature's Variety, and I have also read a bit about this after I purchased it.

Can anyone give me more info about these urinary issues?
Do I need to get him off the Nature's Variety?
Should I finish the bag I bought and then switch him, or should I switch him now?
Is Wellness Core a good choice for diabetes or is there another I should consider?

His primary food is canned Weruva Cats in the Kitchen.

Csts with diabetes have a lot of problems with UTI's. It helps to be sure they take in a lot of fluid. Many of us here add extra water to the canned food, making it sorta soupy. The extra fluids helps to flush out sugar and bacteria."
