Food question and thought

I am transitioning all my cats to a low carb dry food since Sapphire's diagnosis. They were already on Fancy Feast Classics (to which I add a equal amount of warm water to increase their water intake ) I bought a bag of Dr. Elsey's Clean Protein but they only have 2.2 and 6 lbs bags. In reading the info of this website I read about the Young Again Zero Carb and it seems like a better value given the larger size bag available. Because the ingredients are more intune to the feline metabolism I gather they will eat less and poop less. My question to those who have cats on these products how soon did they stop eating less dry? I have a 11 month old cat that eats like a german shepard and I sure do not want another cat w/ FD.

I don't have experience with either but have read here more than once that the YAZ can cause digestive issues - less so for the Dr. Elsey's.

I tried the YAZ and all of my cats ended up with the poops!! They say it will stop but it didn't and with Jones I already had an issue with diarrhea didn't need to add more to the pile.

I heard less people have issues the the Dr. Elsey's.

Yikes! I don't need any of that. I assume that happened even with a gradual change?

So far I have mixed in some "clean protein" to the other cats, Sapphire seems to like the clean protein and so far no incidents. *crossing fingers*

I was just giving it as a treat to start and there was an immediate result. I waited a week with no additional YAZ given and things didn't change. Stopped the YA and things went back to normal.

They loved it though!
