One of my friends cats recently had to take an emergency trip because his ph and crystal counts were so outrageous that they were surprised he wasn't blocked. He's doing better due to a quick switch to a hill's urinary health food(can't remember what it's really called), and she wants to find a better, more permanent food, for good reason. I've already given her the catinfo site that recommends low phosphorus, but her vet also recommends a food low in magnesium and ash.
So I'm wondering if there's an easy list that I can pass on to her to make finding a food easier for her? If not, are there any recommendations I should pass on?
