Food for new kitten

My daughter got a kitten and I have a bunch of Dr Elsey's wet cat food that Teal'c won't eat. Was thinking about giving it to her for the kitten. Would that food be ok for a young one? She named her Caroline.

I would save the Dr Elseys wet food for when she is a year old. She is gorgeous by the way! She looks very young.
Kittens have specific Nutritional needs until they are around 12 months old so I would buy only kitten food for her so that she grows up into a strong healthy cat with no deficiencies.I would also offer her raw chicken wings when she is a month older so that she gets used to eating them. They are great for keeping cats teeth healthy and clean.

Thank you I'll give my daughter the chicken wing suggestion. They got her at 6 weeks old. I agree they need to be with mom a bit longer. The second picture I love. Those eyes say it all. It was the first day in her new home. The fact she wasn't hiding is a good sign.

I wouldn’t offer the chicken wing until she a bit older, say 3 months and then just a small one and make sure she is always supervised when eating bones. Sounds like she will settle in well. She’s a little sweetheart.
