? Food Aversion? Eating Behavior changed, BGs really good

Ember has recovered recently from a pancreatitis flareup (acute starting 8/1, seeming better since 8/5). After that time, she was dropping low on her dosage, so I was reducing from 1.75 and then this morning she got nothing and has not gone back up like normal (her PM shot time is in about an hour, 4pm ET, and she's been averaging under 100 the whole morning).

This would be very exciting... if she was eating as normal. The past couple days she has been less interested in her food. She was still eating the same amount (3 cans) but it was smaller meals more frequently instead of 1 can per meal and then the 3rd can throughout the day. Then yesterday she ate only 2.5 cans, and now today she was not interested at all. Her AMPS was low enough that I just skipped her insulin altogether, and went out to pick up a different flavor of food to see if she would eat. She ate 1/2 a can around +1, and then another 1/2 around +4-5. She's since eaten another 1/4ish, plus some pure bites toppers and bonito flakes which she is interested in. I'm not sure if this seems like nausea or just food aversion? Or if it's just a relatively normal thing with being consistently in the lower BG range the past couple days?

She has been urinating/pooping relatively normal (urination consistent with her pre-diabetes dx). She drinks water. She does ask for food, but is usually not interested.

I'm not sure if the lower ("normal") BGs is a separate good thing, or if it is a possible symptom of another issue? Or if this decreased appetite is a food aversion mixed with just her body telling her she's not as hungry as normal because her sugars are actually in the normal range?

Not sure if this is a huge red flag or if because she is eating technically enough (she realistically only needs 165-200 calories, she was getting 280 before her pancreatitis because she was still losing weight), that it's fine and I'm worrying for no reason?

Next step is to try and give her some ondansetron to see if that helps anything and can maybe give me a clue as to whether this is food aversion (texture, flavor, because she caught on to me giving her pills) or nausea but didn't know if anyone else had any advice or possible experience with something like this?

Let me know if any questions that I did not answer here or in my spreadsheet.

She did get a UA this past week (8/14), they said it all looked normal (including negative for sugars in her urine!!). I was concerned about a possible UTI because of her decreased urination, so wanted to get it checked just in case. At that appointment, she also got her Solencia shot (normally, by this time after a shot, she is running around happy and carefree, and that is not happening, even though she is still jumping as normal).

she did eat most of a can of FF chunks in gravy (is 12% carbs, but all I had that wasn't pate since that is her usual preference). so I'm going to go get some lower carb non-pates (6%). Hoping this doesn't throw her out of what she's been doing with her BGs being low, but glad she ate something.

A cat's voracious appetite will become reduced once the kitty is spending more time in normal numbers. Usually, this is more a period of days/weeks vs one or two cycles, though.

Take a look at some of the Tiki Cat flavors. There are several that are very low in carbs and are shreds rather than pate style.
