Hello, it's me (Emily) again...I have been reading the board since I wrote my earlier post a couple of hours ago and it looks like a lot of cats have been successful with tight regulation and Lantus. Just curious what the consensus is - Lantus or PZI if the goal is to get remission using tight regulation. If you see my earlier post, I'd had success with Tableau keeping him OTJ for the last 4 years, after using PZI with Tight Regulation. But now with Idexx PZI no longer available...I'm wondering if Lantus is as good, or even better, option.

Thanks.

I use Lantus since 2007 but don't have a remission-Simba, nor do I have used PZI since it is not available where I live. It is our animal hospital who switched us from the previous Insulatard NPH in 2006 to Lantus, said they had had very good experiences with the Lantus for all their diabetics at the animal hospital.

Others will chime in since this was recently up for discussion by someone else.
