Fluffy has been staying in the 120s today all day. I gave him his shot because he looked interested in eating, but as soon as I did, he started huffing and then vomited in his mat, and then I saw that he apparently vomited beforehand without me noticing.

The first vomit looked like there were hairs in it, the second no hairs, but white and mucusy. The second time looked a little pinkish in some areas.

Worried... making a trip to the vet tomorrow. He was acting fine today, just more tired than usual. I really need him to eat... he is just putting his head down and won't come out of the box...

Any dosing help would be appreciated too. And prayers.

Of course this happens as school is about to start for me.

Do you have any baby food (meat only) you can try to get him to eat? Sending prayers. I hope you can get him into the vet tomorrow.

Hmm I have some chicken I could cook for him? Would that be good? Thank you so much. I have a ride so that helps a lot :bighug::bighug::bighug:

(my internet is so bad... and my computer will not load this site and it's been like that for a few days? So I have to use my phone to reply) :(

Ahh sorry I totally misinterpreted that. I don't have any baby food... I could find a ride to take me to go get some though.

I'm signing off for the night. I hope you can get Fluffy to eat. If his numbers start dropping and he still won't eat, post 911 to get help. Sending more prayers.

Sorry guys taking a while with this terrible internet.... I have a some Cerenia, but they're expired from like two years ago :( okay I will try and see if I can get him to eat some chicken at least... thank you both :bighug::bighug:

The Cerenia could still be good. I read that, if stored correctly, most medicines are good past their expiration date. It won't hurt him. The worst thing that could happen is it won't be effective because it has lost potency.

Do whatever you can to get food into him and help him keep it down, and monitor his BGs.

Sending appy vines. :bighug:

Thank you so much :bighug: +3 he is at 156, still NO eating... he seems to be walking around, tried licking his food, but that's it. Won't try. I left the cerenia in there in case... :( don't know why his BG went up... probably stress who knows :(

Oh Nat, sending tons of vines:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
They say that if they get nauseous they can associate the food they ate with causing it, why you might have to switch yo something else to get him interested.
Has he pooped recently? ( constipation can make them nauseous and raise BG numbers)
My heart goes out to you:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
Sending feel better Fluffy and good appy vines:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

No luck. He threw it up. Third time he threw up tonight.

I can tell his heart beat seems a little faster than usual. :(

Guys thank you so much :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: Apologies I've been awol, internet here is awful. Resorting to using my dinky little phone...

I don't think he has pooped recently :( he has had some several hard poops from time to time, one of them was hanging out and looked like it had some fur in it :( he seems to have peed quite a bit today though and ate very well until literally this night :(

Okay I will try that right now, thank you... I have one cerenia left. I'm seeing if I can get another can of something else, fancy feast turkey might help.

Don't try any more food until you can get the Cerenia in him and give it an hour to work.

Have you checked his BG since you shot? There's nothing on the NS.

BTW, you are putting 12 instead of 1 as the month on your SS.

!!!! Okay he's finally eating!!!!! It's the gravy lovers, but it's something!!! And he's drinking water too!!! Change of food got him interested! I slipped the cerenia in the can, so hopefully he will eat it :nailbiting: Gosh I am afraid he will throw up a fourth time tonight... my nerves are on fire !

And he went back to eat some of his regular food too?? :0 crossing my fingers... thank you for the suggestion :bighug::bighug::bighug:

SHOOT I just read the message... okay hopefully he will not throw up again :( and thank you for reminding me, I changed the dates, and yes I did a +3 and got 156. I'm gonna order some fortiflora online asap tomorrow morning. :bighug::bighug:

Yay! So glad he's eating!

Don't let him eat too much of the Gravy Lovers at a time. It's pretty rich and can make even a cat that's not already nauseated get sick. Hopefully he'll keep eating his regular food now, but now you know what trick to use - maybe a few drops of the gravy on his regular food. Remember, his BGs may go up because of this, but it should wear off in a couple of hours.

Just checked Fluffy's spreadsheet to see if I could tell how things are going. Looks like you got him in to the vet and that was definitely a good move because they found the UTI. Happy to hear he is back home and eating again.
