Ok, does anyone know if flowers can do anything to the BG? We have some on our table and Lizzy likes to pick at them and sometimes chews them.

Thanks!

The only concern I've ever read about is possible poisoning. There really isn't much to a flower, though I suppose clover blossoms might have a drop or two of nectar in the base of each floret.

As an FYI, the New York ASPCA (with the really schmaltzy ads) runs a pet poisoning hotline.

Flowers won't affect bgs but some flowers are highly toxic if ingested  You can check the ASPCA's list of toxic and non-toxic plants: http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/poison-control/plants/ Poinsetta, the highly popular holiday plant you see everywhere this time of year, is one toxic plant.

The ASPCA poison control hotline charges $65 for a consultation :o

Oooh flowers were always yummy in our house! Especially baby's breath! It's why I no longer have any flowers and instead make cat grass for my girls.....not as pretty to look at, but safe to eat. ;-)
