Hi!
I have been asked if placing a drop of soap directly on a flea comb's teeth is OK before combing? Otherwise, some fleas jump off too quickly. Don't know the answer. What soap? OK to follow with just a wet washcloth instead of a full bath? Does it depend on kitty's age? Can tummy ache result?
Thanks, Sophie

I personally wouldn't risk it. I find you can get most of them. I just have hot water in a bowl next to me. Not sure what you mean about the bath /wash cloth. I don't do anything else

Thank you! Re washcloth - worried about soap being licked by a cat. Wondered if anyone used a wet washcloth to reduce the risk of soapy misadventures or would one need to give a bath to reduce the risk of such an event. Thank you for your response.
Best wishes, Sophie

If you made a simple gelatin solution - ex Knox gelatin - with some extra water, that might create a goopy enough product to trap the fleas without being toxic.

Thanks! Gelatin goop! My favorite magician strikes again! Even my nails appreciate this reminder.
Best wishes, Sophie
