I was curious about this since I brought it up on my sneezing thread. Our 2 civvies are FIV+ when we got them. Luna wasn't. What, if any, role does FIV+ play in feline diabetes?
Also, she's never been bit or anything by the others - I'm reading FIV+ is only really transmitted by birth or deep bite wounds. I wonder if she's even gotten it at all?
Just curious.
Also I wanted to ask, my 2 civvies get 1/4 cup of dry food 2x day along with 1/4 cup friskies pate. I looked it up and the dry stuff is 33% carbs! Even though they are not diabetic I assume the extra cost of feeding them ONLY wet food like Luna would be worth it in the long run? They are both 2 years old.
