My almost 9 year old cat was recently diagnose diabetic (blood sugar over 400) so we're working on getting his diet changed and the vet is having us start him on one unit of lantus 2x daily.
Vet showed us how to do the injections, but I'm not actually sure if I'm doing it right and vet follow up won't be until friday. Should I feel any sort of pop or anything when the needle breaks the skin, or will it just go in without any physical signs? Using micro fine needle tips (0.25mm x 8mm needles) in case that makes a difference.
I'm also doing the tenting method for the injection site btw.
