I attempted to complete the profile and attached the spreadsheet. Please let me know if I did the spreadsheet correctly. I haven't yet inserted any numbers, but I will do that next. Not sure how to insert the numbers.

Welcome Jaro, Good job on the spreadsheet I needed a lot of help when I started, no technical inclination on my part; now let's start filling out that data for every test you take Jaro, first column the date is typed in daily, use each column for the date, at the end of each column there you can type in Remarks, for any changes on food shot example (see Corky's SS) important the AMPS/PMPS, then from there you choose the times you want to test, if you are able to be consistent on the times testing, always test AMPS/PMPS and feed before shooting; this way to help you in your concerns is important to see those BG numbers and when. Best to you and Jaro you are in the right place, this Forum is a life changer:bighug:;):cat::cat:

Thank you for your advice. How do I access the spreadsheet to input the info? Do I go to the hyperlink for spreadsheet on my profile page?

I finally completed the spreadsheet, however, I'm using the Libre right now and will be learning how to use the Alpha Trak in the future. Would someone look at these numbers? The libre reader will sometimes just say HI. I assume anything above 399 doesn't show up on the reader, so I just wrote in 400 on the spreadsheet. Hobo was taken to the vet due to a hypoglycemic event based on his behavior. I was not testing at that time. He was on 2 units of Lantus 2 times a day. Based on the hypo event, the vet suggested we lower his dosage to 1.5 units twice a day. We waited for 1 week and then a libre was attached. The results are on the spreadsheet. As you can see, he has been in the high 300's for the last 3 days. The vet now suggests that we raise the dose to 2 units twice a day. Her concern was that I was using a syringe with the insulin pens and she said that can be an issue. I purchased a regular vial of Lantus and that's what I'm using now. She explained that using a syringe with the pens can result in inaccurate dosage. I will be giving him the 2 units twice a day. The libre ends tomorrow so the vet wants me to wait for 1 week and then we will attach another Libre to see how that dose is working. I'll be learning how to home test with the Alpha Track in the future. I do agree with the vet on the need for an increase. I want to enlist the help of this group, so would like someone to look at these numbers and offer advice.

I order to input and keep data it should be on Google Drive, place once you open the page I have the Spreadsheet and the Forum in my mail bar (favorite) I am not the greatest in computers, but is just below where you type "www.etc...) I hope this helped you:bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

I started with the Libre, and I almost went insane, it only reads HI or the Low Bg is totally inaccurate, the sensors fall off they stop working before the 14th day, or C
orky would remove it, if you use the glue recommended it gives a rash to their skin, the Vet would want you to take Jarlo every 14 days to replace the sensor(expensive in any aspect, script visits, and totally insanity, as I was not knowing that cats even got diabetes, the sensors have warrantee, weather they stop working or fall off, but when you call the customer service, they cannot know is for your cat, or they will not, replace it and it takes a bit more then 48 hours to receive, so you need 1-2 sensors on hand, here in Miami at Walmart, they were from $38.00-89.00, if you go that route, the instructions on how to place the sensor is as easy as removing a wrapper from a lollipop, and I suggest you as the Vet for a PRN prescription, that is for 1 year, when you need one you just go to pick it up
However, most of us in this Forum use the ReliOn Premier monitor and strips, very accurate, very inexpensive, especially the strips, The Libre strips are about $89.00 versus the ReliOn, for 50 strips $9.00 for 100 $17.88 here is a link on how to shoot and pick up blood, very informative, it's your choice on how you want to test, but the most accuracy is in the ReliON, hope this could help:bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

Can you get a second test at night, preferably +2 or later? We only have half of the picture and many cats often have a lower nadir at night.
