Hi Joanne. It's really great that your're doing glucose curves at home!
Your first BG reading should be taken before kitty's breakfast and morning insulin shot. After that, test every two hours for a 12-hr stretch, until your evening dose of insulin is given. Check with your vet to make sure that's what he/she wants (sometimes they want an 18-hr curve, in which case you would test about every 3 hrs). It's not too hard as long as your kitty cooperates, lol, just make sure to keep a record of BG values and times each test was done. Good luck!
