Oh no, Joseph. I am so sorry to hear that you are losing your sweet Noella. You surely gave it your all - learning about diabetes as fast as you could and reacting to her issues the best you could. I am glad you will be her at the end, letting her know about the joy she brought into your life.

Thank you everyone. Noella passed away yesterday afternoon. She was alert for the better part of a full day before she passed, so we got to make some special last memories with her.

Thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement.

I suffered from PTSD any time I saw needles for the past 15 years because of watching my dad's slow decline in the hospital when I was 14. This kitty needing me to treat her for her diabetes made me brave and helped me to put that behind me — just one of a handful of big fears and tragedies that she somehow helped me finally face in ways that literally changed the rest of my life.

Truly a miracle to me.
 
So sorry it was Noella's time to leave you, and it sounds like she was a very special member of your family and helped you through many tough times.

Fly free sweet Noella, and land softly! There are many at the bridge to welcome you until the time that the one you love most comes to be with you forever cat_wings>o

I'm so very sorry, Joseph. She will always be with you and has clearly touched who you are. That's a beautiful legacy.
 
She was truly a gift to you in many ways. So sorry that you had to say goodbye to her yesterday. Until you see her again.... peace of mind and heart sent your way.
