Cedric's annual visit to the vet is coming up this month. I hate taking him because he is such a trial when we are there. He hates getting blood drawn, and it is possible we will do this again this time, maybe even with a fasting to check his cholestoral. would this spray help calm his anger at the vet? Will it bother me? I can't smell the plug ins but can smell a lot with this honker...

Start leaving the crate out with a towel in it that has been sprayed. He may decide he likes to hang out in it while relaxing. When first sprayed, it is pretty strong.

It could be helpful to work on desensitizing him to travel. You start by breaking down the process into numerous small, progressive steps. Then you do each step, with positive reinforcement until it causes no anxiety. Sometimes you find a step is too big and you have to divide it further.

You might check if your vet's office subscribes to the feline-friendly recommendations from the Veterinary Feline practioners group (I'll have to look it up @ my office).

Cedric is fine in the car - Dallas is the one who gets car sick. Cedric has been kenneled quite a bit and I used to take him to work with me every once and awhile (cant at new job, boss is allergic). But he knows if his green bag isn't coming, he's going to the vet. He's fine in the car, but once we get there, he gets pissed. This is the place where they poke and prod him and they draw blood which he HATES. I would just like him to not be so grumpy/angry when we are there. One of the exam rooms is just for cats, and they have seperate entrances for cat and dogs (he hates dogs). But I think he just associates the place with shots and blood draws...
