Hi, I was wondering if anyone on here has experience with Feline Natural Raw Freeze Dried Cat Food, or with any other raw freeze dried food. We picked this up today at a local store and the ingredients are Chicken, lamb heart, lamb liver, lamb kidney, green lipped mussel. The argument on the bag is that additives are not needed since all the vitamins/minerals they need occur naturally in this food. I'm still exploring food options for our newly diagnosed cat as he does not like some of the food we've tried so far. THANKS!

Feline Natural is really pricey for a small bag so it's not really worth it, IMO.

Most freeze dried raw foods are suitable to feed to a diabetic  Just look for one that are grain-free and with no hidden sources of carbs and sugar. Some brands, like the Nature's Variety freeze dried raw, are only meant as supplements/treats so be sure to read the label.

Primal Pet has a new line of freeeze dried raw foods that are nutrionally complete. Stella and Chewy's is another nurtionally complete freeze dried raw food.

Even though freeze dried raw can be fed as-is, it's better to rehdyrate the food with water so that your cat stays well hydrated.

Commerical frozen raw pet food is another option you may try. Nature's Variety is one popular brand that is good for diabetics. There are trial sized bags available. There are other brands of raw food out there but, again, read the label to make sure the ingredients are grain-free.

Some people here make their own homemade raw from a recipie such as the one at Catinfo.org
