Feeling much better today

After a long, exhausting and scary weekend, I am happy to say my Pepper is looking, acting and feeling better. Thank you EVERYONE from the bottom of my heart for sticking by us. Your support, kind words and knowledge really helped me to calm down, snap back into reality, wipe the tears away and be there for my baby girl through what I thought was the beginning of the end. She is a fighter and definitely showed her true calico self. She pooped on the vet and vocalized with her hissing how displeased she was with her. Way to go kiddo. Keep fighting, our journey has another little bump ahead with mouth surgery.

Yes I admit to the world my best friend has four paws.

I gave Pepper's butt a bath since she had poop stuck to her fur and I noticed her butt is swollen. Is this normal after an enema?

I don’t know for sure but it makes sense given the irritation of the enema and all the pooping afterward.

That's what I was thinking too, but I'm going to catlax her to make sure she passes the hair I know she's going to ingest now from licking herself after her bath.

She's doing good. She jumped up on my bed last night wanting to snuggle with Mommy under the covers. Then woke me up this morning to eat. So far, so good. I'm missing her already today, now that I'm back at work.
