Feel I should post, but nothing really to report

He has been in the mid-100s at PS, and, believe it or not, I have not gotten spot checks even though I am home. I will in the next few days. He has been on .5u, but I think he may need to go back to .6u so I have to get spot checks before I raise him.

I weighed him today and he was 13 lbs. That's what his vet records show as his "old" pre-diabetic weight. Beau weighed more than that at his heaviest, but he was overweight. Jeddie is a bigger cat, so maybe another lb or so would put him at his best weight, but I'm not going to push it.

He has been doing really well with the peeing too - until last night. He peed on the door again. Sigh. I actually saw his using a couple of the pans in the pat few days too so I wonder why he suddenly felt the door was a good place again.

I have to update his SS - gotten kinda lax on that.

100s are pretty good. Do you want him to go lower, is that why you're considering increasing?

Gandalf weighs 14 lbs currently and is very thin and he was even thin looking with all his hair at 16 pounds, his best normal weight, mostly because he's tall. Jeddie's not quite as tall, but I think he could go to 15 lbs easily and not be overweight.

Glad he's put back all his weight, wasn't he around 8 lbs when you got him? That's incredible!

Yes, I would like to see him get a nadir between 60-80. I am still not sure this new meter is telling me accurate numbers. Like are the 150s really 200s or even 300s like the old meter said they were? I have noticed him drinking water lately, which I never saw him do before. It's not much, a few laps a couple of times a day and maybe its from the heat. I haven't noticed extra peeing, but I admit its hard to tell with five cats.

I can get a +4.5 today before I leave to go to my aunt's. Tomorrow I will get later numbers and go from there.

I think he was 8.5 lbs when I got him. Really skinny and bony. I didn't have him weighed for 3 weeks and he was 9.1 then after eating non-stop since I got him. His records say he was 8.1 at FD diagnosis.

Beau was 56 this am one hour after eating. That's on the new meter.
