feeding question

Do you think cats crave variety in the flavour of cat food? I feed the same turkey snd giblets everyday. Lately they are less enthused.
 
Answered my own question.. picked up some FF Beef Pate.. Sammy looked at me like "Are you kidding me here???", Sylvester, on the other hand, is snarfing down his and now working on her share.
 
All of mine are poultry fiends. Don't know if it is their desire or my conditioning but it makes it a little difficult to change up
 
Mikey is allergic to red meats and his numbers seem to do better the higher the protein content so both Henry and Mikey have been eating Friskies SD Turkey and Giblets every single day for most of their lives (Mikey since he was around 8 months old and Henry since he was 4 months old). I do mix it up with Tiki Cat chicken or Natural Choice Chicken but that's usually only when Mikey's numbers are running higher (since they're lower carb than the Friskies) or because I'm the one who gets bored feeding them the same thing again. :lol: About once a week or so, they'll turn their nose up at it and all I have to do is add some raw or plain-cooked chicken, Parmesan, or freeze-dried treats on top and they'll eat it again.
 
Sneakers refuses to eat the same thing twice in a row- no matter what the enticement is. If she ate it for breakfast she isn't going to eat it for a snack or for lunch. I have 6 different kinds of foods cubed up in my freezer that I rotate throughout the day. Plus a new can that i open and keep in the fridge for a difference (and looking for new items as she gets bored with the old and will refuse to eat after a few months)

But that might not be kitty pickiness- it might be acro related (but i don't think so as none of the other acro owner/slaves say there cat gives them this much trouble).
