hi. thanks for the encouragement! testing is getting better for us however my husband is having difficulty with it. he keeps missing her ear with the shooter pen style thing. therefore he wants to do it freehand. I don't like him doing it that way. suggestions.
 
I use the lancing device but there are many others who do it free-hand. It's whatever you (or your husband) feels most comfortable doing. If he wants to try free-hand, he might find he has better success with it. Someone else will probably chime in with some helpful hints on doing it free-hand for you guys. ;-)
 
I had problems using the lancet device.
My vet asked me "can you sew on a button?". I said "Yes Ma'am"
She said "Then ditch the device and do it freehand".
Instant success.
Let your hubby try it. :-)
