Feeding eggs

Hi all,

I have some eggs yolks in the fridge that I would like to use. Has anybody fed just egg yolks to their cat? I was thinking of scrambling up with no oil etc.

Thanks!

Hi there,
I read on this board a while ago that eggs are good for them. Not as a steady diet or anything because the diet wouldn't be complete, but they are high in protein, right? I add them to tuna cat food when I give it to Sweety. She loves it. I hard boil them. Sometimes, if I'm in the mood, I make treats out of boiled chicken with eggs in the water and add some tuna or salmon - just like the expensive FF appetizers, only homemade.

An egg yoke is high in fat and has good protein. One yoke has about 2.7 g protein and 4.5 g fat. An egg yoke is very high in protein 3.6 g but only 0.05 g fat. However, you have to cook the whites otherwise it bind to a vitamin (biotin?) and prevent absorption of the vitamin.
