Feeding a diabetic cat wheat grass...

I used to feed Squeak wheat grass all the time. I grow it for him and LOVES it. I stopped when he became diabetic. I planted him some the other day. Is it OK to feed it to him? Thanks!
 
If it hasn't come to the seed stage, I suspect it is fine - right up there with lettuce.
