Feas! Help plz- Buster got a bath

I would love to use Advantage, but I shoot into his scruff. What is safe to use when you are shooting a diabetic kitty?

Can I use flea shampoo?

I gotta do something, fleas are getting on my baby girl when I lay her down.

How about changing the shot location, to the flank area? That is an acceptable place to shoot and won't interfere with the flea treatment.

Personally, you may need to do both, treatment and shampoo.

Well, he got a bath with the flea shampoo last night. I can't believe how many fleas came off of him! And, he is still crawling with them! I'm gonna try to shoot the flank this morning, see how it goes... if it's all good, then I am off to buy some Advantage.

Sorry I didn't see this before but there is a pill called Capstar. You can get this from vets and buy online.
You just give this pill and within about 30 minutes it will kill all the fleas on the animal. This is what groomers use if the dog or cats come in with fleas.
Generally they give the pill, wait 30 minutes and then give a bath to wash off the dead fleas. Remember this just kills all fleas on the animal but it won't keep them from getting fleas back so you probably need to treat your home and cats bedding as well with something.
This might at least make him comfortable until you can get him treated with advantage.
