? Fancy feast kitten food

Something is definitely going on with skittles, his BG levels have been high for two days now when he went six days straight without needing any insulin.
2 things are going on... he has been off The antibiotic for the infected tooth that he had for almost 4 days, and # 2 .I gave him FF canned kitten because going by the safe list it has only 4 carbs

AMPS- 265 gave 1 unit
+2.5- 171
+5- 205
PMPS 299 gave 1 unit
+2-294

He BG levels haven't been or at least stayed this high ( for him ) since Nov 2015. Up until Jan 13th he had been in remission for over a year . He has a infected tooth and was on meds. ( I can't afford a dental and trying to get help to get him one )

But right now, he is running everywhere, jumping around playing w his favorite toy. I think I messed up giving him the kitten FF?? Wondering if I should see if his vet will give me more meds to keep him on until I can get his rotten tooth out. He did so good with his diabetes for so long ....

The kitten food is low carb, so I think you need to look at other reasons for the high numbers but you can always go back to what you were feeding before and see if it makes a difference

The tooth could still be causing it or possibly a UTI or other infection/inflammation

And some cats just come out of remission for no known reason....I really think he probably has been coming out of remission for awhile now...he's been throwing occasional yellows since November

True that he's been throwing out numbers for a while I know one of those times we had gotten into my dogs food I just really have to watch him because if he sees something laying around will try to snatch food off of your plate so the numbers he might be seeing our so basically that's why you've been seeing numbers is because even when he was in remission just hearing the dog food bag he would always come running just hoping I dropped a piece in the floor and then when I moved I put it up at a location and he figured out how to get the lid off of it and now and now he'll go over there and still trying to figure out a way to get back into it until he got this diagnosis and I put him on can fit in October we haven't used to eating dry food

It's hard when you can't figure out why something isn't right. You're doing a great job and I hope you can find the funds to get his dental done. Have you tried a GoFundMe account? I'm not sure where else you could seek help paying for it.

Thank you . I haven't tried GoFundme ,I would be laughed out of town &'probably cause drama for my children with bullying I live in a very small country town and people would not understand me seeking funds like that for a cat . .... I know it's so crazy and stupid!
I have more organizations to contact that a couple people have given me so I'm hoping that will come through

I understand that. I live in a smaller town too. My friend had a cat that needed almost all of her teeth pulled. Shelter knew about it before she adopted but didn't tell her even though they knew she was on SSI. She got some nasty comments and bullying for it... My friend has GA since then. Was a great shock to all of us.
I always say I need to win the lottery but it wouldn't last long bc there's so many animals in need!
