Fancy Feast Food

Hello to All :

For the last several weeks , Frank my in remission kitty and Cinderella my 20 year old will not eat the Fancy Feast. Before this they both gobbled up their food. Have been feeding them Chunky Chicken , Chunky Turkey , Tender Beef , and Flaked Tuna. I have tried different flavors but have found nothing they will eat. Both will kinda pick at the food. Since Frank was dx with diabetes in 2006 they have been eating nothing but the Fancy Feast. Checked expiration date on cans and all are good. Question : is anyone else having this problem ? Has anyone heard of a problem with the Fancy Feast company. In the last two weeks Frank has lost half a pound. Both have seen the Vet and all is well.

both my cats used to love fancy feast then something changed with it and they both stopped eating it, i also changed because patches started creeping up in his #'s, switched over to EVO and now molly eats only wellness (since patches is gone figured id keep up with the good food with her)

Frank, my cats never ate FF Classics before the DX, but they are now addicted and just gobble it up like crazy.

That is interesting that your cats won't touch it all of a sudden.

With the help of others, I've been working on updating the Pet Food Nutrional Values - August 2010 SS, and contacting companies about both current ingredients as well as current values. I just recently contacted Weruva about their foods, and got an email back today stating that carbs were about 2%, even though they use potato starch as a binder. You might try some of their foods (they haven't been added to the SS yet). I have also been feeding my cats EVO canned foods, which they enjoy. And the Merrick's are good, too.

Maybe your cats just got bored with FF...or maybe they know something we don't know. Your post is a good heads-up in case something did change in the food.
