Hi. New to the board as of this week. Per my other post, my cat started Lantus this week and now I'm looking at his food transition. He's on a mix of Natural Balance canned food and ProPac dry. I know I need to move away from dry, which Jack is perfectly fine with as he loves wet/canned food. I keep seeing people recommend the Fancy Feast pate line. Are particular flavors recommended or does it matter? I did find the food chart, but don't see FF pate specifically listed, just Classic and Gravy.

I bought a couple cans of the FF Pate tonight and mixed in a small amount. He was all over it, so yay! Does anyone know if the Meijer version of the FF is ok? It looks like a classic store brand version of the FF and even sits right next to it on the shelf, with identical flavors. The protein/fat/fiber percents look comparable, with protein even a bit higher on some of the Meijer flavors.

I'm personally not sure though if you had the As Fed values for Moisture, Protein, Fat, Ash, Fiber, one can calculate the % Carbs (post here for info). You could email the grocery store and ask for those values. The post I linked also goes into why the numbers on the can (Guaranteed Analysis) are not the best to go by.

And Fancy Feast pates are all listed on Dr. Piersons chart - the are called "Classic" on the food chart (and on the can) - The title for the section is on page 13 and the foods are on page 14. Hope that helps :bighug:
