I'm not sure what I'm looking at here but I suspect rebound...after some great control we seem to be headed in the wrong direction again..why I'm suspecting rebound is because she is jetting up so high after insulin and her nadirs are much higher than her preshots.
Frustration doesn't even begin to cover it..I'm about to the point of dropping her insulin over the weekend when I know I will be around to stalk her to the litter box and keep an eye on her for ketones and see just where she goes without anything, especially since she isn't a ketone prone kitty.
In the mornings she is great purrsonality wise, she runs to greet us purring like crazy, wants in laps for cuddles etc, but after getting her insulin she is grouchy and sullen again. She has also started running from me when it is test or shot time and this is after months and months of her beating me to the testing spot. Again I'm wondering if this is her way of telling me that the insulin is making her feel bad rather than good.
But right now my own brain is such mush due to everything else that is going on, on the home front that I'm just not sure that I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing.
So I guess the question is up, down or hold...I am running a curve on her today to see if I can see anything that I have been missing with just the spot checks.
