Eye problem

[Marci and Buddy]

Today i noticed Buddy is unable to open his left eye, and it's watery. i took a warm cloth and washed it, now alittle beetter but still opening it very little. Maybe he has a cold? He is in good spirits and his #'s are ok.
anyone familiar with this situation and can suggest something, other than a vet visit?

Could be many things. If not noticeably better tomorrow a vet visit is in order.

Marci, could he have perhaps been scratched there by another cat? Or maybe it is feline herpes virus? Is he sneezing too? Like Larry said, if it doesn't clear up maybe a vet visit would be a good idea.
