do cats that are on this eat less than say FF? being that this is such a better food for them?
i want to add this in with their FF but cant do this full time due to price! i can afford it just that alot of money on cat food (have 2 cats, patches the diabetic) and do not have the time to be seperating etc.
and with gas prices that keep going up im not getting myself into a situation

so would it be beneficial to add this in to their normal FF routine or is that defeating the purpose of it?

thanks!
Jennie and patches

I haven't tried evo specifically, but I do find that Willie eats less of the high end cat food than he does of the lower end stuff. I do believe that Evo comes in the large 13.2 oz. cans, so if cost is a factor, I'd suggest calculating out cost per ounce of food. For example, I think large cans of Evo run around $2 where I'm from... so, not including sales tax, a large can comes out to around $0.15/ounce. Fancy Feast only comes in 3 oz. cans, and I think the cheapest I've found it (before coupons, which don't give much of a discount) is $0.50, or around $0.17/ounce. Obviously prices may be different where you live, shop with coupons, etc., but based on those figures, the Evo is definitely comparable, if not a little more economical!

You may be surprised Maybe buy a few big cans and see what happens?

FF runs here about 47 cents at walmart and on good days you can get coupons attached to them, if i had one cat it would be a different story, just two is alot to feed!
ill have to check around to see if i can find a larger can....i used to feed wellness and would love to go back to that but need to wait until i notice no one is having issues on that....

all i know is both gobbled the evo up and molly my civvie is normally a very very picky eater and i had to get her to not eat his!

thanks for the input!

Nothing wrong with adding a higher quality food such as EVO to the diet  Some people feed mainly inexpensive food such as FF and occasionally feed a higher quality food. EVO does have larger sized cans, 5 oz and 13 oz cans, so it's more economical if you have a multi-cat household.

thanks!
checking out some sites for pricing on the 13.3 oz cans....
going to give this food a few days to make sure both like before i go spending on this!

so far so good for both!
