Good morning, early risers (if any) ~O) ~O) ~O)

I suspect Euk dipped into the greens sometime last night, his last reading was 105 at around +5 and I went to bed thinking I would get up in an hour or two to recheck but slept until +10.5, and I was pleased to find that his reading (which I charted as +11) was 195, which is both awesome and a bit scary as of course, I worry about whether I'll give too much insulin. I tried to make him eat but he only ate a little, this morning the food was all gone (it's possible that Molly would have eaten some of it but I can't tell). So I served his "breakfast" and will wait to see how much it goes up, but this is fantastic. It's been over 24 hours under 300, it's great to see yellows and blues instead of pinks, reds, and blacks. Do I dare to hope for remission? It would be just perfect if it happens by my trip time, I hope that boarding him doesn't derail his progress...

Really great numbers HB! You are doing a great job with Euk!
I think we all hope for remission, but have no choice but to take it day by day.
Continued success to you guys!

Sitting here thinking back 1 week ago & how your post would bring tears to my eyes.
My goodness...you have come so far.

Always have hope for remission!!! Never lose sight of that hope!

Yes, the SCDD syndrome struck with a vengeance. I was very worried because the not eating was the same thing he had last year, and an abdominal ultrasound DID reveal a small lymph node, too small to biopsy. They say i could have the US repeated in a month and see if it could be biopsied, but since he recovered so nicely I chose not to. Also, the Vet recently had told me that she had noticed that his small intestine seemed thickened on X rays but couldn't make too much out of it. There was also the question of borderline kidney function that they were concerned at some point in the back, also the thyroid was entertained, so, as you can see, there could have been a number of catastrophic things going on and I was waiting to find something horrible on labs and xrays...only to find out everything was fine. And of course, like any cat owner worth his salt, I'm as dramatic and neurotic and worrywarty as the best of them, which doesn't help the situation.
In a weird way, it was almost disappointing not finding something after all this drama. While I'm glad that he's doing better, this won't be the end of it and I was doubting I could keep this up. The good thing is not only that he recovered on something as simple as baby food, but his numbers had been fantastic the last few days. So, I'll enjoy it as it lasts
