I want to thank everyone here at FDMB because Emmy has been diabetic for 8 years, 5 of which were controlled by food. During that 8 years we have seen hypo's, thyroid issues, kidney issues, numerous uti's, etc. You name it, we have been there and done that. In all of that I was able to come to this website and get reliable feline health info when I needed it. I was not a regular poster but I lurked and asked for help when needed. Anyway, Emmy had kidney failure for the last year and coupled with her thyroid issues and her severe arthritis she decided to stop eating this weekend and she got weak. The vet and I decided it was time to say our final goodbyes and at 2:15 today she made her way to the rainbow bridge. I am at peace with it as I have been crying already for a week knowing this was right around the corner. I did want to say thanks........and if and when I get another cat or two I would definately rely on this site for info.

Cheryl, my deep sympathy on the loss of your Emmy. You actually gave her all those extra years because of what you learned and you knew in your heart when it was time to let her go. I am so sorry your Emmy is gone.....may memories comfort you.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. You did everything you could for her, and then you did the last thing that we as loving owners have to do - you let her go. She was lucky to have you.

I am so sorry that you lost your sweet Emma and my heart goes out to you. It is so hard to say goodbye to our beloved babies that have shared so much in our life.

I am so sorry to hear about Emmy.

My Odie crossed over yesterday too after many health issues. I hope that they are playing and happy together and no longer hurting.

*hugs*

Two OTJ parties this weekend, and then two lost little ones early this week, Emmy and Odie. My heart goes out to both of you moms :(

I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like you gave her a great home and a great life, and you helped her have the easiest possible passing. That took a lot of strength.

I'm sorry you had to say goodbye to your sweet Emmy - she was quite a fighter but now she won't have to fight anymore. She is free of pain and will never hurt again.

Safe journey, sweet Emmy

She was loved, and loved well in return. That is a gift beyond measure and you were both so blessed to have walked that path together.

Wishing Emmy a safe journey. Wishing you peace and comfort.

(((Hugs)))
