Ear veins

[Felix and Ron]

It seems that Felix's ear veins have all but become impossible to draw blood from. Anyone have ideas?

Have you tried warming his ears well first? Are you using a lancet that's thick enough (26-28 gauge instead of 31-33 gauge)? Are you aiming for the small area between the larger vein and the edge of the ear? - should be easy to see on a white kitty. Your SS ends mid 2017. Have you stopped testing since then? Maybe his ears have to be reminded how to bleed.
