Dry food causing higher numbers?

Hello!

My question today is this: Reece’s PMPS numbers have gone up over the last two days and I’m wondering if it is because she has eaten more dry food than the previous days. I only have 4 nights of data (my BG-checking skills are a work in progress...), but I was home and feeding multiple small, wet food meals on the first 2 days. The other two days, with the higher number, Reece ate more of the dry food I had left out during the days, when I was at work. I know I should get rid of the dry food, but I wanted to be able to be home and monitoring her when I do. I also wanted to make sure I could successfully check her BG when she goes off the kibble. She really likes the wet food and has been eating it almost exclusively, anyway, but the last two days she ate probably 1/4 c of D/M dry, as opposed to the prior days where she ate maybe 1/8 c and now her PMPS numbers are much higher. I think I did the ss correctly, so you can see all the (measly) data points I have collected so far.

Thanks for all your encouragement, advice and support!

Absolutely the dry food will make the BSLs go higher.
Can you document in the remarks column of the SS when she ate the dry food and when she ate the wet food. All good info for us and you.
Also I notice you have not filled in all the times you would have given the insulin up until today. If you miss out giving the insulin, write ‘skip’ in the dose column so we know there was no insulin given.
Also always test before every shot. This is really important because if you give the insulin and your kitty is too low already, you could have a hypo on your hands.

If you can get some mid cycle tests that will tell us how well the insulin is working. Also a before bed test as many cats drop lower at night. :)
