Scott had a PS of 261, at +3 he had dropped to 38. It is now +11 and he is 311.
I have been shooting a little over 1 u Lantus, 1 u he was staying in high 100's to mid 200's, but 1.25u was bringing him down to 90+. I don't want him to go lower than that because I am not home to test. SO I settled on what I call 1.12u, he was coming down to around 135ish with high 200 PS.
Obviously I need to decrease the dose, so I am figuring 3/4u, or between .5 and 1u.
But now that it is almost shot time I am scared he will drop really low again. Should I reduce more than this? I am giving him Lantus.
I seem to be panic stricken!!

I am sorry no one has answered you. Have you given the insulin yet.?
You have earned a reduction in dose of 0.25 units because Scott dropped to 38.
Are you following the tight regulation protocol or the SLGS protocol.?
Do you have a spreadsheet set up. Here are the instructions to set up your SS. I would strongly urge you to set one up. It is very hard for us to help anyone if we cannot see how the cat has been going with the BSLs.

It is very normal to feel panic stricken when faced with low numbers and a decision of what to shoot next time. He looks like he is bouncing after the 38.

Bron and Sheba, thank you. I gave the dose of .75+, I think I gave more of a reduction than .25. It is just so hard for me to judge on syringes that are not accurate to begin with.
I'm on a Tablet and couldn't figure out how to set up the SS, there was someone who was going to do it but I didn't want to give my email and password to a stranger. But I understand I have got to get a SS up.
I am following SLGS.

Nice catch on that 38. That must have been so scary for you and I too am so sorry no one answered at the time. If something like that low number ever happens again, may I suggest you put a prefix of "911" on your message. There is a drop down box at the left of the title bar where you can select this option. That way when folks are scanning for anyone needing help, your message will grab their attention!

I understand you not wanting to give out information to a stranger. You could set up a "secondary" google account/email address that you can use solely for the purpose of setting up the spreadsheet. Call it Scott's email! ;)I believe that if someone else sets up the sheet for you all they need is the email address to switch ownership over to you so if you continue to have a problem getting your spreadhseet set up, this might be a solution for you.

I had to have someone set up my spreadsheet for me. I wouldn't ordinarily give my email out to someone I don't really know, but I feel like, with all the caring, helpful people here, it's pretty safe. It was no problem, I don't think I had to give her a password, we just exchanged email addresses. She still fixes it for me when I do something to it that makes it go wonky, lol, which I sadly seem to be very good at. She has also modified it a couple of times to best suit my needs. She is my "Spreadsheet Angel"!
