Dropped the monitor last night at 3am

So I happened to wake up at 3am and wanted to check Sketch. Pulled the sleepy guy downstairs and finally managed to get some blood. Right after the test strip beeped on my AlphaTrak 2, Sketch jumped down, the monitor somehow clattered to the floor and when I picked it up there was no number...blank screen!

The monitor instructions say to test with control solution (which I don't have) if you drop it so now I'm running off to the vets' to see if they have some and I can recalibrate my monitor before he's due for his next shot at 10am.

Not the start to the day I wanted, but at least Sketch seems ok.

I can't tell you how many times I have dropped my monitor (mine is Relion Prime) I did not know that you needed to do a test on it afterwards, I will have to read my instructions to see. On the Relion, you can recall the last 50 tests or so. Maybe you can do that with the AT2 ?

Test your ow blood unless yoo are also diabetic. I wold not expect dropping would effect the accuracy but may just cause the meter not to work.

OK well I went to the vet's this morning and used their control solution and it tested in range. So I guess I'm good.
