drooling?

Scout has been more drooly than normal recently. he started (lightly) drooling earlier this year and i thought his dental would take care of it, but its persistently getting heavier. i thought it was happening when he becomes relaxed, but now he salivates when i give him treats to the point of it dripping all over me and the floor. is there anything i should be worried about? i'm not sure what could be causing this throughout the day (besides the obvious reason for the treats).

It's always scary to google it, go to pet MD and read it, so don't assume anything from this.

But I think I'd get it checked out by a vet to rule out something serious. I had a cat named Mullet who drooled buckets if you petted him, but not at any other time. I guess he just liked being petted!
