If you haven't tried this, I would highly suggest it!

from catinfo.org:
Adding 1-2 TBS of water (plain or flavored – such as tuna water, clam juice, chicken or beef broth) per meal is also very beneficial, as is using water fountains. Make your own tuna water by taking one can of tuna and mixing the contents into 3 cups of water. Mash it around and let it sit for ~15 minutes. Pour the water into covered ice cube trays. Freeze to prolong the freshness. Use covered trays to keep the water tasting and smelling fresh.

I made these last night. I got the covered ice cube trays at The Container Store for $3.99.

I put out several ice cubes this morning in a bowl for the kitties and they went crazy for it!!! Yay! Anything to get them to drink more water!!!!!!!!!!

It's also great to have a bit on hand in the frig for washing down bitter meds or pills.
Some syringed meds like Antirobe I gave after a dental went down better with a tuna water chaser!

I tried this last night on my 18 yr old cat (with thyroid/renal issues).. she ate her food- she did this morning too and this afternoon!! I'll try washing down her thyroid pill with this until I get the transdermal gel delivered.

Thank you for sharing.

I'm leaving a medium size bowl of this out -mostly water but it IS increasing the water consumption. Yipee.. happy to see this.
