Dosing question

If you look at Orion's spreadsheet, you'll see his morning PS is often in the red and his evening PS is pink. Does it ever make sense to give a higher dose in the morning and less in the evening, or should the dose stay the same?

Also, can someone explain why the morning sugar is often higher? I know this is common.

I think you know what we'll say. There is no way to know what is happening without the nadir. It could be that he is high and flat and then the dose needs to be increased. But if he is dropping midcycle and bouncing back up, increasing will make that worse.

I think I remember nadirs are hard for you to get, but can you find a day when you can do one, or a night?

Give me a few minutes and I will post again with his +6. Nadirs are difficult because I work and am not home til about his +8. Wednesdays and weekends I'm off though so I try to get data then.

+6 today is 240. He usually shows me a nice curve. I haven't been able to get many mid-cycle numbers because of the holidays but there are several from before Christmas.

I agree with Sue that it's very hard to say without midcycle data. Your +6 just now was a yellow but it's possible that he's been bouncing since the low green of 12/24. This dose might be too high and it's set off repeated bounce cycles. The only way to know is to do a curve on the first day you have time off. To add to the complexity, the "good dose" that gave a decent curve in the past might not be the "good dose" at this point in time.
