DOSE INCREASE?

I have been trying to work TR as best as possible for the last few weeks but Little keeps throwing me a whammy. it seems her PM dose is lasting longer and having later Nadirs so i am waking up to unusually low AMPS #s Thinking i was going to have to raise her the AM of 4/23 but as you can see from my SS her PMPS that night was a NS!! If you can take a peek at my SS from 4/14 thru today and let me know your thoughts i'd greatly appreciate it. Was going to raise .25 this am but am not going to be able to monitor all day. I've had many sleepless nights the last week as she seems so unpredictable. That said, its been 10 months on Lantus, maybe its time for a switch to Levemir? My worry with a switch is I have read the Nadir can be even later with Lev so not sure. All thoughts and advice appreciated. Hope everyone is safe and healthy

Hi, I wanted to give this a bump. Hopefullly one of the experts will see it and help you.

I understand why you're frustrated. I see a lot of good numbers in there, though.

The biggest consideration for many in switching to Lev is the later onset and nadir, which is typically +4 and +8. I went to bed before Neko's onset, so I didn't even have that to tell me what her cycles was going to look like. I did eventually find other clues. Nadir was easier cause it was typically +9-+12 and I was often up for my workout at +9.

Does look like you could try an increase, when you can monitor. She may not need it for long.

Thanks all. I bumped her to 2.5 this AM since I will be home all day next few days. My real concern is I need to order insulin like today! Not sure if I should order Levemir or keep her on Lantus. I can probably push off ordering till Friday ... A later Nadir will be tricky in the evenings, I have had several sleepless nights worrying and waking up to poke her even on Lantus. I am so frustrated :banghead:
