Dose increase?

William has gone back up to high and flat cycles the last couple of days. Went low for him a couple of days ago and then shot up, so I'm guessing there's a bit of a bounce happening. He always seems to have higher cycles following his lower ones. He's not acting like he feels horrible. He's a bit of a neurotic since his diabetes diagnosis and has taken to pulling his fur. I'm always trying to get him to have normal poops, but it's a struggle (for both of us!) Other than that, he seems pretty fine. Just seems to be done with lower numbers for the last couple of cycles. I've stuck with his current dose because he seems to take a while to adjust to dose changes. I kind of worry about raising it, though, because the last time he wasn't showing progress a decrease set him in the right direction. That was a month or more ago when I took him from 3.5u down to 3u. Since then we're back up to 3.4(ish).

And! I just found out that he got into the civies food today. Don't know how much, but whatever tonight's numbers are may be influenced by that.

Feline Constipation has all kinds of tips for managing frequent constipation. Has your vet diagnosed it as megacolon?

I saw you mention that site in another thread the other day and bookmarked it. I think I was there a while back but it's time to go back and see what more I can do. A vet visit is in order. My vet seemed unconcerned with his constipation in the past no matter what I said and just told me to use Miralax, but it's not very helpful for him. Megacolon has been a fear of mine.
