I just shared Stumpy's spreadsheet a little while ago, and need some help moving forward with changing his dose. Yesterday Pre shot his blood glucose was 504, today same time, its down to 230. He's been on Lantus 5U for a couple of weeks now, but rather than the insulin suddenly doing something, I think its likely the drop is due to the diet change recommended on this forum, which was getting rid of the Royal Canin diabetic biscuits, and I have also ditched the Jimbos raw food which I think caused a spike yesterday (along with him drinking and peeing a lot and being very lethargic). I'm not that great at getting blood samples, hence there are not that many values in the spreadsheet, but I'm slowly getting better (and more determined), and I know how important it is to have data to avoid hypos.
My question is, with this large drop in 24 hours, what do I need to do next? We haven't given him insulin this evening as the vet had told me to use a cut off of 235, as pretty sure the 5 will be way too much.
