Goodmorning everyone!

If someone could take a look at my spreadsheet and give me some dosage advice I would appreciate it! Lola has been on .25unit and she’s giving me steady blues but I would like to see some greens. Is there a way to increase her but not to .50unit? Perhaps .40? Any advice would be appreciated

It appears Lola could use an increase to .50 units. Let’s see what is advised officially for Lola!

The current dose is not taking her into any greens, so let’s hope you would get there with a bump up.

Do you have medium carb (10-15%) and high carb (over 15% and up) foods (and honey or Karo syrup) on hand just to make sure you’re prepared? Plenty of test strips, too.

Okay! I can start the increase tomorrow morning so that she can be closely monitored all day! I don’t want to start her tonight because I’ll be asleep and won’t know if she drops. I do have high carb wet food and Karo syrup on hand. I need to look into some medium carb food unfortunately I don’t have any. Do you have any recommendations for medium carb?

Since you are feeding FF foods, scroll down this chart to find medium carb FF foods listed.

You could always add a drop or 2 of Karo or honey to LC foods listed to bump up the carbs in a pinch.

You can also mix a HC and LC foods together in equal proportions and get a medium carb.

For example, 6% +16% equals 22% divided by two equals 11% MC.
( you get the idea)

I didn’t even know the meters had replaceable batteries WHAT. I’m going to look at the Amazon listing for it and buy some, thank you!!!

Excellent advice. I keep a few spares in the house too!!
And I have an extra meter too for extra prepared measure (but I’m a bit over the top).

Same here! I do a tablespoon for each feeding basically. He gets finicky if it’s too soupy.

I add 3 ounces to each feeding (it’s soupy but she is used to it.)
You could start with a teaspoon as Tim does and see how that works and work up if you want to over time.

I add water to Mister’s food too but he won’t tolerate very much, so he gets about a teaspoon each time but even that small amount helps.

I found it hard to find MC % options so like Staci said, I make mixes to get there. That’s a super helpful equation she gave you (I bookmarked it!) so you know exactly what % the mix is giving you. Great questions and great advice here today, I learned something too. You’re doing so good with her, I’m excited to see where this dosecrease gets her!

It’s a little nerve racking because I won’t be home to monitor her but she has my husband I’m so grateful I have a job where he can text me and I’m able to answer I added some water to her PM feed tonight and she ate it with no problems yayyyy!!!
