Hi everyone, I can't seem to get the numbers I did a few weeks ago. I noticed my cat's neuropathy worse these past few days. She is getting around, but not the same.
The 1.75 BG numbers don't seem any different. I used it 3 times so far?? I am getting worried.
What do you guys thinks?
I have a few thoughts. One, Maybe the fancy feast has too much fat in it and it is aggravating the pancreas.
There are too different Werurva varities she tried today and I think liked. Peking Duck, Weruva, has 9% carbs and 29% fat. My vet didn't like Fancy feast due to the fat content but said that I could stay on her regular dry and wet food which had just as much fat. The Dr. Pierson charts say they have 9% carbs and fat in the 30 percentage range compared to Fancy Feast with about 5% carb and 44 % fat. The only thing is the weruva have gravies so I wonder if the carb count is accurate.
Another idea. Do you think I should get some more bloodwork or medical checkup done. At diagnosis, I got a digital radiograph, ultrasound cystocentesis,
urine culture and MIC, Free t4 add on, SC, CBC, T4, UA, complete blood count, superchemistry blood profile, T4 thyroid function, and urinalysis micro exam. I just copied it from the bill. She had a convenia antibiotic injection a few times as well.
I don't know if my cat still has pancreatitis? Could this be creating insulin resistance? Or is my cat in pain so BG goes up? It was seen in an x-ray in the initial workup. I mentioned it to the sub vet and he said that he is eating fine so it shouldn't be an issue. Should I get another X-ray or should the insulin work despite that?
Should I keep with the 1.75 ?
